The Writing(with)plants Campaign Closed … but You Have One More Month

The crowdfunding campaign for Writing(with)Plants has ended successfully. The book is now in production. But for those who missed it, there is one final opportunity to order your copy at the early supporter price of €40 … this month only.

After that, the price goes up.

What Is This Book?

Writing(with)Plant is written by Wendy Wuyts, a geographer, trained forest bathing guide, researcher, and one of the initiator behind the writing(with)plant sessions that have already drawn a growing community of writers and thinkers in the past five years.

The book is structured in three parts, each serving a different purpose:

Part A – My Story is Wendy’s own. Rooted in the landscapes of Flanders (and Japan), it weaves together personal reflection, place-based observation, and her deep familiarity with the more-than-human world. Running through these pages like a quiet thread is the willow. Snippets and reflections centred on the willow appear throughout, grounding the writing in a specific ecology.

Part B – Your Story is where the book becomes a tool for you. This section offers practical templates, writing exercises, and frameworks you can use independently … or bring into your own community. The graphic design includes templates but also white space for your own notes and sketches. It is designed to be written in, not just read.

Part C – Our Story rounds out the book with a curated reference list for further reading, words of thanks, and short contributions from the two other co-initiators of the writing(with)plant project.

Who Is This Book For?

If you are a writer who wants to deepen your relationship with the natural world, not just as subject matter, but as a genuine creative collaborator, this book was made with you in mind. It is equally useful for facilitators, educators, and anyone curious about ecocritical approaches to writing and place.

Read It This Summer. Write With Us This Autumn.

Order now and you will have the book in hand this summer, time to read Part A, experiment, and arrive ready for what comes next.

At the end of August, free online writing(with)plant sessions begin, continuing through autumn and winter. These offer a structured, communal space to practise what the book introduces. Early order readers will be part of this from the start.

If you want to join the free online sessions in autumn and winter 2026… Sign up to our writing(with)plant newsletter via this link or the QR code to receive the announcements and free registration links for the next online sessions.

One Month Left at €40

This is the last chance to order at the early supporter price. Once this window closes, the book will be available at full price.
